PATCH-CLAMP RECORDING FROM AN OLFACTORY CILIUM



A single olfactory receptor neuron is shown.   At the end of the dendrite are several motile cilia, each about 30 μm long.   One of these is pulled into a micropipette that contains a recording electrode.
